Commercials Division

Who are we?

The Commercials Division is an essential source of funds for our social projects. By participating in entrepreneurial ventures, it is an opportunity to harness the wide range of talent and ideas that our members have, in order to help them develop skills and relationships, all the while supporting the projects. Constantly generating ideas to raise funds, the division collaborates with the social projects division to host events and share experiences and knowledge

spearheads innovative projects and initiatives to develop a steady stream of income for the entire society, supporting the other two divisions in their social entrepreneurial efforts. The division is also responsible for organising the annual Enactus Case Olympics, a sustainable business case competition open to all LSE students.

What's next?

A key development for the year of 2019/20 is the creation of Enactus LSESU Marketplace, a platform upon which members of the LSE community can buy and sell products, giving new life to unwanted items. It is also a platform that beneficiaries from Creative Cycle can use to sell their products, helping them kick-start their entrepreneurial career.

Past ventures

Christmas fundraiser

The division raised funds by designing Christmas cards and gingerbread men (alongside other baked goods) to sell to the LSE student population. It capitalised upon the excitement of the Christmas festivities that many students at the LSE have never been exposed to before. Over two days, it sold packets of cards and Christmas bundles to students, raising funds for out Suit Up project.

Entrepreneurship fair

Working with the Creative Cycle project. the division helped organise and promote the Entrepreneurship Fair - a major landmark of the Creative Cycle timeline. Beneficiaries of Creative Cycle gave presentations, sharing their experiences and business with each other and also listened to presentations given by successful entrepreneurs that gave them advice for the future. After this, Creative Cycle members were given stalls and were given an opportunity to sell and trial their business that they had developed on the programme to the student body. The division ensured that this event was a successful culmination of the work that our beneficiaries had completed during their time on the programme.
